Over the past weekend, we celebrated love at Tala Collection Private Game Reserve. My cousin and her used-to-be fiancé now husband celebrated their love and union in style. The entire family waited for this day and we finally made it and it was everything I ever imagined for my cousin.
The game reserve is beautiful – breathtaking views, beautiful wildlife, and comfortable lodges we spent the weekend living in. The staff were kind, helpful, and did their best to make us all feel comfortable. The rooms were comfortable and had a “make yourself at home” kind of feel to it. I do feel as though they should add like kitchenettes to some of the lodges. But the overall experience at Tala was out of this world.
The wedding was gorgeous with picturesque views, a clear yet cloudy blue sky and a very emotional bride and groom. The weather blessed us with a warm & slightly windy day, but in the evening’s it was freezing.
This was literally one of the happiness days of my life to experience my cousin and her husband tie the knot and to be surrounded by everyone who loves them. She made the most beautiful bride and he made the most handsomest groom.
After the ceremony, there was a Gin & Tonic and a Beer keg for those who wanted light refreshments while the bride and groom went off to have their wedding photos taken.
By the time the reception came around, my feet were in pain. We took our seats and let the evening commence as planned. The mother of the bride speech was emotional yet funny, she did a brilliant job at holding it together. The food that was served was delicious and so mouth watering, that I wanted to go back for a second helping, but I saved space for a dessert I never ended up tasting. The evening continued with a few more speeches and ended the night off with rocking it out. I ended up breaking my heel. That is when you know you had a good day and night.
Thank you to everyone who put in the work to make this day as special as it was for my cousin and her husband. You all did an extraordinary job! Thank you again.
